Kristen & Michael – Oahu Country Club & Central Union Church – Traditional Wedding in Hawaii
July 29, 2010 | Filed Under Edit 1 Media | Leave a Comment
March 2010 was quite a month for us! We had three weddings in Hawaii (Maui and Oahu) spread across three separate weekends so Chris and I just decided to stay for the month. I know, I know…it’s rough, but SOMEONE had to do it! I actually grew up on Oahu, so I am deeply in love with the islands and know them very well. We have several clients per year (usually people that live in Seattle but are getting married in Hawaii) that love our work, trust our knowledge of the islands and our ability to include that “flavor” in their video, and love the fact that when they come back home to Seattle, we are local to them….so they send us there to capture their day! Did I mention that Chris and I met in Hawaii and flew back there to get married? So we also have an understanding of what is involved in planning a destination wedding too!
I couldn’t have been more thrilled when Kristen & Michael approached us about filming their wedding in Honolulu. We were honored to have filmed Michael’s cousin’s wedding a few years ago (Liz & Aaron) where Michael was one of the Lion Dancers! We also filmed an event at the Asian-American Museum in Seattle honoring his grandparents, Ping and Ruby Chow. They are truly an amazing family and we were so thrilled to capture another important event for them!
This sweet couple was married at Central Union Church in Waikiki…now I have you tell you…EVERY time I drove by that church I had the urge to film there. Seriously! It’s so beautiful…and now I know that it’s even more beautiful on the inside! We saw lots of familiar smiling faces, received many warm hugs, and saw Liz & Aaron’s sweet little baby boy. It was like a family reunion and we were treated like part of the “ohana”. The reception was at the prestigious Oahu Country Club in Nuuanu Valley just off the Pali Highway and Eddie from Renai Photography documented the day with stills.
Kristen & Michael wanted a very traditional, grand yet romantic feel to their video and chose music that had lots of meaning to them. Our wedding videographer friend James helped us film that day and in return we helped him film a wedding here in Seattle a few months later. Love that! The first song in this video was their Same Day Edit which wowed all their guests at the reception, and then the second song was added in later to complete their Highlight video. I hope you love it!
If you are a bride or groom getting married in Hawaii, please don’t hesitate to call or email us. We are so at home in the islands and would love to talk to you!
Joohee & Mike – Modern Seattle Wedding at Hotel 1000
July 19, 2010 | Filed Under Edit 1 Media | Leave a Comment
OK, most of you know that I love doing Same Day Edits for our couples. I mean LOVE them! And lucky for us, a HUGE majority of our clients love them too! Joohee and Mike were no exception! They were referred to us by their fabulous wedding planner, Ellen Peterson from Serenity Weddings. We have been working with Ellen for over 6 years and I just can’t say good enough things about her! The only problem was that we were already booked on the date that Joohee and Mike were considering for their wedding in July. But since they hadn’t put down any deposits on their venue yet, they decided to meet with us and see what happened.
The second that Joohee and Mike walked in the door, Chris and I instantly adored them and we chatted for a LONG time, watched lots of videos, had some good laughs, and they ultimately decided to change their date to one that we had open and booked Hotel 1000 as their venue. I was so excited to work with them, and honored that working with us was important enough to partially base their wedding date on our availability! We’ve actually had that happen several times this year, including two destination weddings in Hawaii and Houston). We must be getting good at this or something! LOL!!
A few days before the wedding, Joohee and Mike said that they would like us to chose the music for their Same Day Edit and I already had the perfect song in mind. So on the morning of the wedding we set out early to get some time-lapse shots with our nifty Canon 5D Mark II cameras that are the light of my life (next to my family, of course!). When Humberto (my fantabulous assistant!) and I got to the bridal suite Joohee was practically jumping with excitement and she looked gorgeous!! I was blown away by her dress and had a great time getting lots of detail shots. Meanwhile the boys were getting ready and goofing around in the Boardroom and Chris was capturing it all. The day flowed flawlessly from there with their cute First Glance, photo session with Dana Pleasant at the Seattle Library and the Harbor Steps and then a sweet ceremony on the terrace.
The reception was amazing! Hotel 1000 did an incredible job of making sure every detail was taken care of, including dual screens to show off the Same Day Edit! The ballroom was GORGEOUS, the food was to die for, the service was excellent, the Same Day Edit rocked the place and let me tell you that these people know how to party!! DJ Lance Daly spun tunes out on the terrace that made everyone dance so much that the floor was literally shaking under my feet! There was a photobooth by 321 Foto and Humberto and I even took a minute to take some silly pictures which I might share someday. (I really do need to do a blog post about him!).
So here is their Same Day Edit and I can’t wait to share the reception footage with you later on when it’s ready! Enjoy!
UPDATE: Check out Dana’s blog post with Joohee & Mike’s photos….amazing!!!

Another Tuiasosopo Gets Hitched!

If there’s one thing I LOVE it is seeing people we know at a wedding. Whether it is other wedding professionals we’ve worked with and befriended over the years, previous clients who are guests at another wedding, or in this case…another sibling in the family getting married! Not only does this show how much the family loves our sparkling personality (haha!) but that they loved their sibling’s video so much that they wanted to hire us for another wedding! That is the ultimate compliment and expression of trust.
Of course many of you know that one of the other things I love is Hawaii (where I grew up). And while these families are actually Samoan, there were constant reminders of Pacific island culture…the flowers, music, food, dancing, and LOTS of sweet family all reminded me of home.
We filmed one of Leslie’s brother’s weddings a few years ago (Marques & Lisa), so when she hired us, I was so excited to see this amazing family again! This is a family of great athletes who are so “real”, down-to-earth and just the nicest people you could ever meet. And both the Tuiasosopo and Gabriel families are full of people who always seem to be laughing and enjoying themselves! There were almost 400 people and Nelliena at Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Club did an incredible job of keeping everything on track…the day turned out perfectly! There were two “First Glances” with Leslie’s Dad, Manu being the first to see her and then he and her mom walked Leslie over to Anthony who tried REALLY hard to hold it together when he turned around to see his beautiful bride for the first time. It was an amazing day!
I could seriously go on and on about this wedding, but instead I’ll just show you their Same Day Edit. If all the laughing and hollering when we showed it is any indication, I think you’ll agree that it came out pretty awesome!
Kira & Jed – Beautiful Seattle Wedding at Inglewood Golf Club
June 30, 2010 | Filed Under Edit 1 Media | Leave a Comment
Where do I even start with this wedding?? We met Kira and her mom 1-1/2 years ago with their wedding planner, Wendy Wojcik. They loved our work but wanted to go with a smaller option for our services. But Kira is very good friends with Lindsey & Tommy and was a bridesmaid at their wedding last year in Coeur d’Alene. When Kira saw their Same Day Edit, she immediately called and decided to upgrade to a longer edit AND a Same Day Edit. I was ecstatic for her and knew she had made a great decision!
Kira looked simply sublime in her dress…I love how the decorative element accents her waist and her earrings are to die for! And is this not one of the biggest wedding parties you’ve ever seen?? Being WSU Cougars, let me tell you it was a fun and wild crowd! We had a great time filming this wedding and I think it shows in their Same Day Edit. I can’t wait to get my hands on their dancing footage when we create their longer Wedding Movie! Kira marks the 4th friend in a close knit circle of friends whose weddings we’ve filmed and I hope we’ll be seeing more of these special ladies at more of their friend’s weddings!

Kaye & Danny’s Wedding – Holy Names & Lake Union Cafe

When I walked in to Kaye’s room at Hotel Deca, where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready, she greeted me with such a warm smile and enthusiastic hug that you would have thought we had been friends for a long time! I finally got to meet Dre from Lifebox Studios and we had fun shooting detail shots together and he even let me borrow a few lenses to play with. Meanwhile, Brian was off filming the guys getting ready at Holy Names…Kaye went to school at Holy Names which I think is so cool! How emotional to get married at the school where you learned and worshiped when you were younger? Here is their Same Day Edit which was shown later on in the evening at the Lake Union Cafe.

Deborah & Chip – St. Jude & Columbia Winery Wedding

I feel like a blog posting maniac this week! Since the beginning of June we have already had 5 Same Day Edits so I have a few more to post after this one!
We really loved working with Deborah and Chip on their wedding day! Even though there was a little veil emergency which was quickly remedied, Deborah was calm, serene and smiling all day. She looked stunning in her Lazzaro dress which she purchased at Kleinfeld’s in New York City. They were a bit more traditional and decided not to see each other until the ceremony and Chip was fighting back a tidal wave of emotions as he watched his bride walk down the aisle towards him. I hope you enjoy their Same Day Edit as much as I enjoyed creating it! We have some amazing footage from the reception which will be added to their longer edit.

Kierstan and Chris live in St. Paul Minnesota but contacted us by phone about filming their wedding here in Seattle. I had such a great time speaking with Chris on the phone multiple times and was really excited to finally meet them in person last month when they were in town to meet with their coordinator, Melissa Parker, to finalize details of the big day. Everyone was worried it would rain but it turned out to be a gloriously sunny day! I hope you enjoy their Same Day Edit wedding video which is full of love and sunshine!

Laura & Dave at Golden Gardens – Seattle Beach Wedding
June 17, 2010 | Filed Under Edit 1 Media | Leave a Comment
Laura and Dave are extremely talented wedding photographers (Check them out on Blissed Photography!) who we had the pleasure of meeting when we filmed Nicole & Chuck’s wedding last year. The instant Chris and I met them, we instantly like them and it was fun working alongside them at that wedding. They mentioned that they were getting married but I didn’t really say much about hiring us film their wedding. Let’s face it, most photographers are really in to well….photography! But when we posted Nicole & Chuck’s video on our blog I sent Laura a link and she wrote back saying that they would have to figure out a way to have us at their wedding…even if it meant they did a pot luck. Well, thankfully THAT wasn’t necessary and we were so happy to know we would be capturing an amazing day in their lives.
They decided they wanted a Same Day Edit and since Dave is a musician the music was very important to them. One day I was listening to my iPod and found the perfect song…I emailed Laura and she emailed back saying that just as she opened the email that same song was playing! How incredible is that?? So obviously it was THE song and I was so excited to edit to it…I could hardly wait for their wedding!
On their wedding day, my mouth just about fell open when I saw Laura’s Wai Ching wedding dress…NOT your typical wedding gown! She looked amazing in it and Dave certainly seemed to think so too when he saw her for the first time that day. They were married under an arch that Dave made by hand in a small, personal and touching ceremony on the beach at Golden Gardens that was officiated by one of their very close friends. Their photographers, Heather and Jon from One Love Photo took some beautiful, dreamy photos and we really enjoyed working with them. Michelle Engvall made sure everything ran smoothly and of course we ADORE working with her! Check out Laura’s post on her blog the day they got married…it has gorgeous photos of all the details that Dave handmade too!
Unfortunately Dave’s father suddenly and unexpectedly passed away just a few weeks after the wedding. Thankfully we captured him giving a reading during their ceremony along with lots of other great shots of him having a great time. Laura says that all night long he just kept saying that it was the best wedding he had ever been to. They are so grateful that he was there to celebrate with them and I know the video will become even more precious to them now than it ever could have been. She wrote in an email “Every image of Carl on that day means so much to me. The experiences you create for your couples is immeasurable.”
Laura and Dave…thank you so much for asking us to be a part of your day. We are honored that you chose us and we loved every minnute of it! We are also really looking forward to spending some time with you very soon!
Alderbrook Resort
June 14, 2010 | Filed Under Edit 1 Media | Leave a Comment
It seems like we are always so busy with running our business, shooting and editing that the only “getaway” time we have is when we are traveling to shoot a wedding or corporate video. And we certainly don’t seem to get out of town with our kids. So since we didn’t have a wedding this weekend, and it’s our only weekend with no wedding until mid-September, we decided to take the weekend off with our boys. I forgot to mention that Saturday was also our 17th wedding anniversary! So we decided to head out to Alderbrook Resort in the Hood Canal.
Mind you, I grew up in Hawaii so my idea of a vacation doesn’t usually involve pine trees and hiking…more like palm trees and boogie boarding. But we had SUCH a great time this weekend that I wanted to share it with you. We also saw two weddings taking place at the resort and of course that means we bumped in to other wedding vendors who we know too, which was cool.
We got a two bedroom cottage which was perfect for me, Chris and our two teenage boys. There was a full kitchen with all the utensils, plates, etc. so we took some food with us since we knew we would be very active and the boys would need to eat constantly. The cottage was so much nicer than I expected it to be! I was imagining a rustic, semi-bug filled place, but it was like a big hotel room but with lots of privacy. I felt like we were staying in a small house. It was great!
We arrived about noon on Saturday and were able to check in a little early, so we put our bags in our cottage and explored the grounds a bit. The resort is beautiful and we seriously could not have picked a more beautiful day to be there…perfectly sunny and 76 degrees…ah!! The tides at Alderbrook are amazing to watch…they go out so far! And there are beautiful views of the Olympic mountains. We decided to rent a pontoon boat and we saw herons, seals, jellyfish and let the boys take turns driving the boat while we sunned on the deck. Afterwards, we hiked the short trails that give a great view of the resort, water and mountains. Then we headed to pool to play a hysterical game of “beachball volleyball” and then relaxed for a while in the hot tub.
Next was an amazing dinner at the restaurant where they had a nice “Happy Anniversary” card waiting for us at the table. The food was incredible! I highly recommend the Tenderloin Gratin which they sell as an appetizer, but honestly that alone could be a meal! We were super stuffed and couldn’t stomach any dessert until they brought out a special Anniversary creme brulee…the boys attacked it and it was gone in about 35 seconds! Then we walked off dinner for a while and watched the sunset on the dock before hitting the gym and the hot tub again. When we got back to our cottage, there was a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries from our friend and wedding planner Ellen Peterson from Serenity Weddings with a sweet card. We managed to eat them all then fell in to bed tanned, full, tired and happy.
We slept in a little then made some eggs in the kitchen before heading back out to the dock to do some sea kayaking. Now, I’ve never been in a kayak before and I was a little worried that I might not even fit in to it! But David at Hood Canal Adventures reassured me that I’d be fine and would have a great time. We rented two tandem kayaks and paddled around for about an hour and a half. I was instantly in love with kayaking and can’t wait to do it again! After that we had to check out but then we headed back to the gym, pool and hot tub again.
My overall impression of Alderbrook Resort as a getaway location, is that it is top notch! Great staff, incredible food, neat cottages and plenty of activities. We can’t wait to go back again and explore some more…and maybe even check out the spa next time! My impression of Alderbrook for a wedding is also great. It’s like a mini destination wedding but still local. Having a ceremony on the lawn with that gorgeous view is stunning. A unique thing I liked about the reception room is that there are large windows that can be opened to the courtyard and guests can flow in and out and gather around the sofas at the outdoor fire pits. There are so many places to take pictures and video….I just can’t wait to shoot our first wedding there…so if you are getting married at Alderbrook Resort, make sure you call us about having the day filmed because you won’t regret it and I already have ideas flowing in my mind!
Linh & Kyle – Clise Mansion in Redmond
June 4, 2010 | Filed Under Edit 1 Media | Leave a Comment
When Kyle’s mom called to inquire about our availability to film her son’s wedding, we hit it off right away! We had SO much in common with their family that it was almost spooky! The best thing we had in common was that we both lived on Oahu and still have an intense love for Hawaii. Our emails and phone calls always began with a hearty “Aloha!”.
At first Linh & Kyle didn’t want a videographer but Kyle’s parents insisted and were able to change their minds. But what they knew they REALLY didn’t want was a Same Day Edit. However, behind closed doors his parents went ahead and set the wheels in motion to make that happen! So when we showed the Same Day Edit at the reception there were tons of tears and Linh was truly surprised and amazed at how gorgeous it was! Kyle is a U.S. Marine and even he said “what a great job! It wasn’t what I expected at all!” which was a HUGE compliment coming from a Marine!
What I really loved about this wedding was that even though the rain was threatening the outdoor ceremony, everyone came together to make sure it went off without a hitch! Kyle was so calm and peaceful and the instant they saw each other as Linh walked down the aisle, you could feel their connection instantly. The toasts later in the evening were so heartfelt and I can hardly wait to get my hands on that footage to complete their video…those toasts will definitely make their Highlight very personal and emotional! Congratulations to you both and to your families as well…you are all amazing people!
Headshots!
April 20, 2010 | Filed Under Edit 1 Media | Leave a Comment
A few weeks ago Seattle Bride Magazine asked us for some new headshots for an article about wedding videography. Chris and I had just come back from almost a month in Hawaii filming several weddings (more on that later!) so we were feeling beachy and refreshed…the perfect time to take some photos! At the same time nVidia, a large graphics card company, asked me to do an on-camera testimonial about one of their video cards and the newly announced Adobe CS5. So it was the perfect opportunity to kill two birds with one stone and we had a glam/photo/video day.
Erica Madera recently moved to Seattle after being a makeup artist in the L.A. area and I asked her to do my hair and makeup. I was a little worried because I’m one of those people who can’t stand it when someone touches my eyes and I’ve never had someone else do my makeup. Erica did a great job making me feel comfortable and she did my eyes super fast so I didn’t get all teary…I was even able to tolerate some fake eyelashes!
Laurel McConnell took our photos and she was great! It was REALLY cold and windy out and we didn’t have much light left but we still managed to go to a few locations in a short period of time and she made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Afterwards we had some Mexican food and Margaritas and chatted about wedding and business stuff. Then it was back to our home-studio where we shot the video for nVidia. I’m not sure where or when it will show up, but hopefully we were able to give them something useful!
I want to give both Erica and Laurel some public thanks and love! If you are a bride still looking for the perfect wedding makeup artist in Seattle, please consider Erica. And of course Laurel is an amazing photographer who has also become a good friend to us over the past few years.
Let me know which photos you like the best!

The Flower Girl Boutique
March 10, 2010 | Filed Under Edit 1 Media | Leave a Comment
I know I’ve said this over and over again, but we seriously have the BEST clients in the whole world! We are so lucky to work with couples who truly value our skills, vision and creativity. One of those couples is Jenn & Thuy Truong who were married last summer and you may remember seeing their Same Day Edit at the Bell Harbor Conference Center.
Well, Jenn decided she loves weddings so much and wanted to mesh that with her life long dream of being a fashion designer, so she started The Flower Girl Boutique! These little dresses are super cute and there are lots of color options if you need to coordinate to a specific color palette. You can order online and get fast delivery or if you want to see the dresses in person, Jenn will be at the Voila! Wedding Show at the Woodmark Hotel on March 28th. And in fact Thuy (her hubby!) will be at our booth that day to talk with couples about why they loved working with Edit 1 Media since we will be in Hawaii filming a wedding. So be sure to go online and get your tickets for Voila! NOW to see these flower girl dresses and meet many other incredible wedding vendors!
Wedding at Seattle’s Pan Pacific Hotel
March 4, 2010 | Filed Under Edit 1 Media | Leave a Comment
Winter and early spring in Seattle is an interesting time in the wedding community. Many vendors have a few free weekends since it’s the “down season” and there are several wedding shows and loads of small “Open House” events at local venues. Edit 1 Media was asked to shoot many of these events so we’ll be posting some short videos from a few of them over the next several weeks and months.
The Pan Pacific Hotel is a chic, luxury hotel boasting incredible views of South Lake Union and the Space Needle with unique modern architecture, design and art pieces throughout. The concept for their “open house” was super fun….a mock wedding! If you are still looking for a stylish, modern place to have your wedding that has a real Seattle vibe, consider looking at the Pan Pacific Hotel.
The amazing vendors who participated were BreeAnn from Pink Blossom Events, Aria Style, Barbie Hull Photography, Bamboo Beats, All About Weddings, Bella Cupcake Couture, Salon Azur, Vida Spa, La Belle Elaine, NW Totem Cellars, Hollywood Hill Vineyards, Creative Ice, Kellie’s Creations, Brocklind’s, Pederson’s Rentals, Gifts by Design and Stella & Dot. Events on the Edge provided the amazing actors!
Carrie & Nick – Ultimate Seattle Wedding in the Space Needle
February 20, 2010 | Filed Under Edit 1 Media | Leave a Comment
When people think about Seattle they usually think about Starbucks coffee, Pike Place Market, and the Space Needle. The Needle has to be the most iconic building in Seattle and it was also the place where Carrie and Nick tied the knot recently! We had SO much fun at this wedding! They are constantly laughing and so obviously in love with each other.
Carrie and Nick got ready and had their First Glance at the fantabulous Fairmont Olympic Hotel. I’m pretty sure the Fairmont was our home away from home last year…even the guys at the valet were getting to know us really well! Carrie looked SO regal and elegant in her sleek Winnie Couture gown (which she bought at La Belle Reve in Bellevue). And her gorgeous bridal bouquet and other floral designs that day were created by Tanya Stone of Elements in Bloom. Their photo session with Jason Koenig of JKoe Photography was such a blast and Jason got some amazing images while we got some great moments of laughter and movement at Kerry Park and the EMP at Seattle Center.
The wedding ceremony was held in the Skyline Level of the Space Needle which is 100 feet up and has a 360 degree view of Seattle. Annemarie Juhlian officiated the ceremony and as always made it a very personalized and joyous occasion. There were LOTS of tears and laughter! Afterwards we headed up to the observation deck of the Space Needle to take some more photos and video with a gorgeous sunset backdrop. You just can’t get any more “Seattle” than this!
I would say something like “and then the party started” but honestly…it was a party all day long! Carrie & Nick have some very entertaining friends and family and we loved capturing them having a great time on the dance floor. Kevin Olson of Disco Royale spun the tunes and kept the floor packed with moving bodies! I think the dancing might be my favorite part of their video, so make sure you watch it, OK???
A lot of couples we talk to budget a smaller amount for their wedding video, not completely knowing the costs involved, and sometimes even get a little sticker shock after talking with us. Carrie found us on Junebug Weddings (yay for Junebug!) and after meeting with us she did a little shopping around, but ultimately realized she was really drawn to our quality and style of work so they were able to rearrange a few things in their budget to hire us since this is the one thing that will truly last their lifetimes! She said it was worth every penny and over time the cost won’t matter, but the quality and memories will. I think she made the right choice!
We Heart Sharlane

Sharlane Chase
I love the Seattle Wedding community…..we are so fortunate to work with the BEST people! One of those people is Sharlane Chase who is an incredibly talented photographer and one of the nicest women you will ever meet! She works tirelessly with Jesse & Travis from True Colors to put on Urban Unveiled each year which is a super swanky wedding show that we are proud to be a part of. In fact, this past year’s show ended on a magical note when the love of her life, David, got on one knee and ask her to marry him! I’m sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the place when that happened!
Unfortunately Sharlane & David’s wedding plans were interrupted by the words no one wants to hear. “You have cancer”. Our family has personally been there twice with one of our kids….and it’s honestly one of those moments that stops you dead in your tracks and makes you want to just run….run away from hearing the truth. And yet Sharlane has shown such dignity, grace, strength, humor and fortitude that it’s honestly breathtaking.
Having been in her shoes, we know how hard it is to handle cancer treatment financially, even if you have health insurance. So the wedding community has rallied around Sharlane and are holding a benefit event in her honor tomorrow at Herban Feast’s SoDo Park. The items being auctioned are unbelievable — from artwork to romantic getaways to food/desserts/gift baskets — the list of items being auctioned and wedding companies participating is HUGE!! Whether you are getting married or not, the opportunity to bid on the best items and having it all go to a GREAT cause is something you just can’t pass up. So if you are able to attend, PLEASE be there and bring as many people as you can! And we will see you there!

Thao & Says – Wedding at the Seattle W Hotel
February 1, 2010 | Filed Under Edit 1 Media | Leave a Comment
This was another fabulous wedding put together by our friend and wedding planner extraordinaire Weddings With Wendy. She referred Thao & Says to us for their wedding video at the Seattle W Hotel. Thao looked stunning in her Augusta Jones “Kenzie” wedding gown that she purchased at I Do Bridal. She said it was the first dress she tried on…personally I think she chose very wisely!
They came to pick it up their video on Friday night and took a few minutes to sit down and watch it with us. There was a lot of laughter and emotional tears as they reminisced about their wedding and commented on all the moments they didn’t get to see that day. To say they were delighted would be an understatement! They both said over and over again how happy they were that they decided to invest in a wedding video and that they hired us. In fact Thao emailed me just last night asking to do some more editing and said “Honestly, if I knew I would be so crazy over the video like this, I would have totally paid the extra money in the beginning. You’re really worth every penny!”
Chris and Garrett had a great time shooting alongside their photographer, Yours by John. I think his personality fit Thao & Says perfectly and he was able to bring out their fun personalities in a super stylish way. As always, David Reed did a marvelous job at officiating the ceremony, and I’m in love with their personalized vows. As soon as I heard then I knew they would become the centerpiece of the edit along with the great toasts from the Best Man and Matron of Honor! Darrell Christel rocked the house as their DJ during the reception (as you can see from the video!) and Says did a “Thriller” dance which NO ONE knew about (not even us) and we put as a bonus chapter on their DVD. What a fun group this was!

Anna & Joe – St. James Cathedral & Fairmont Olympic Hotel
January 25, 2010 | Filed Under Edit 1 Media | Leave a Comment
I have so much to say about Anna & Joe’s wedding….it was beautiful, elegant, full of bling, grand, stunning….what other adjectives can I come up with?? It was a long, fun day and after we showed the Same Day Edit, Anna told me “hiring you was one of the best things we did!” which is one of those phrases that just makes my year. Thanks to Heather Sharpe who referred us! Tonight was Heather’s last wedding as a planner since she is going to work on her other business…but we are grateful that she recommended us to this amazing couple!
For those who might ask about Anna’s wedding dress….it’s a one of a kind custom made just for her, so you won’t see it anywhere else.
It is always great to work alongside wedding vendors who we’ve known for years and have come to see as friends. Tania from Azzura Photography had the great idea of bringing a Venetian mask with feathers that matched the wedding for some fun photos…and as always was FABULOUS to work with!! Aria Floral did an unbelievable job creating stunning bouquets for the ladies and grand, breathtaking arrangements for the ceremony and reception with tons of yellow, cream and white flowers with feathers! The Michael Benson Band and The Wedding DJs were there to entertain the guests (and I must say they did a lot of entertaining ME while I was editing and they came in to take a break!). And of course the Fairmont Olympic Hotel and St. James Cathedral are a combination that is hard to beat.
I hope you enjoy their Same Day Edit and please feel free to leave comments! Oh…and keep an eye out for the Super 8mm film which will be coming later after it is back from processing.
