Kip, Sasha & Ella

Kip is a photographer here in Seattle! We had been online friends via twitter for some time now but had never met in person. When Kip contacted us to do their family photos I was very flattered. From the moment that we met Kip in person we didn't stop talking. I felt an instant connection because we all share a love of photography, great music, travel, running and shows like Top Chef and Project Runway! They even understand my crazy pescatarian food choices (Sasha was a vegetarian once herself) and they adore Gilbert which makes me so happy!

One thing that stands out when you meet Kip & Sasha is how much they love Ella. And it is evident how much Ella adores them in return. I love it that they were able to be themselves in front of our lens and many of the things that we did during this shoot were inspired by their interaction with each other. We love this shoot because for us family sessions are less about posing people together and more about capturing a family's love at this stage of their life.
