Anyone who knows me, knows I am a perfectionist when it comes to the magazine. So, it pains me greatly when I make a mistake. Today, I am pained. This afternoon, I received an email from the talented, superbly cool and incredibly gracious Anthony Manieri of Toronto's 5ive15ifteen Photo Co. Anthony is one of the Principal Photographers at 5ive15ifteen and he is responsible for the OUTSTANDING Floral Fantasy photoshoot on pages 78-85 of the Toronto and Eastern Canada Edition. (Seen below). My mistake? On the article, there is no photo credit. GULP! I check the magazine files easily 100 times before we print. So, I'm still unsure how I could have missed something this obvious. But, I did. And to Anthony, Mike, Rebecca and Lisa - I'm so sorry. It WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN! Thank you for being so incredibly gracious and lovely about it...and most importantly, thank you for your work on this beautiful photoshoot.New footage coming soon………

Jennifer and Brett had a beautiful wedding. No question. They not only had a spectacular church but also an amazing reception held at a famous Richmond landmark.
However, from my point of view as an outsider, the best part of their wedding was to witness the the relationship between Brett and Jennifer and their families.
Both Brett's parents and brother and Jen's parents and sisters adore them and were all there to support them on their day. They were also all very willing to speak on camera about their families which made my job not only easier but a lot of fun.
This preview includes the stories of their parents. I usually don't even ask the parents about their story but it just sort of happened with both the Snee's and the Urban's interviews. I was really moved by the stories of these two couples. The final film will show the kind of impact this had on Jennifer and Brett. They reminded me that weddings are not just about one couple, they are about all of the lives that surround that couple as well.
What a great day. The reception was at the Jefferson hotel. Jimmy Harris and the rest of the staff at the hotel were so accommodating to Jason and me before, during and after the wedding.
The photographers were Don and Lindsay from Don Mears Photography. They not only produce very inspired work but do so with a great attitude. They are talented pros and amazing people.
Bill Gilliam of Choice entertainment MC'd the night. This was my first time working with Bill and now I understand why he has such a great reputation. He really turned it into a memorable evening. I'm not sure how he does it. But, he does. If you are every able to attend a wedding he does you'll see and hear what I mean.
I would like to thank Bill from Floral Designs by Bill and Kelly. They are not only talented floral designers but were also the ones who introduced me to the Snee's.
And I want to thank Jason Parks and Meghan Marchetti for shooting the event with me. They are both very talented wedding shooters. I really love working with them and could never produce these films without the skill olf talented shooters like them.
And finally, I wanted to thank Jennifer, Brett and their families for sharing their stories with me.
Take care.
Bill

Things look a little bit different huh? Well, after talking with my wife and some professionals, I decided to drop the name Infinite Weddings and go with my main company name Infinite Design. I'm doing this so I can focus mainlny on wedding videography. So I'm going to be taking down my commercial design site and leave up my blog and wedding video site. Also this way there will be less confusion with just one name. Infinite Design: Wedding Videography.Anyways.....my schedule is open..........so BOOK ME!
Opa! Toni + Chris’ Same-Day Edit

I had the pleasure of accompanying the rest of StillMotion crew to Toni and Chris’ wedding this Saturday. For the first time I came out from the start of the day, which for Toni was about 7:00am. She had a busy start to her morning and there was so much I was able to help with. By assisting Toni and her family it allowed the rest of the crew to focus on being as creative as possible. As you can see by the same day edit, they got some amazing shots and footage.
Chris and Toni had a high-energy wedding with a large bridal party, huge guest list, 2 bands, 2 priests and a traditional Macedonian dance to top it off! The day started off early and the agenda was filled with activities and we were on a tight schedule. It was interesting to help make sure all the particulars are covered, the fine details are not missed, and liaise with other vendors so that Toni and Chris can sit back and enjoy their wedding day without having to worry about the logistics.
I’ve always loved event planning in the past. Although it can be stressful at times, it’s worth it to know they were able to just focus on each other and getting married. Thanks Toni and Chris for including me in your wedding day. You are wonderful and your enthusiasm made it a pleasure to work with you.

Sheila and Greg: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Having spent college in a school in Katipunan Avenue, it piqued my interest no end whenever I passed by the Mormon Temple along White Plains. What did they do in there? Call it dumb Catholic ignorance.
And so I was very excited in shooting my very first Mormon wedding last weekend.
Greg explained to me that nobody else was allowed to enter the temple and witness the ceremony. I was antsy as to what to put in the SDE.

That said it was great that they decided to hold another “ceremony” just before the reception. It was a simple vow and ring exchange. Being Filipinos, they felt the need to share the moment with the guests even though that actual ceremony did not have any legal or religious bearing. It was a great sequence to put between when they got inside the temple and when they went out.
I also learned that getting wed in the main temple was essential to a Mormon’s faith. It would ensure that that man and wife as well as their children will still be together even in the afterlife.

Here’s their Onsite Video.

I am always scouring the net for new and beautiful bridal items. As part of my daily routine I pay a visit to Etsy. This modern online mecca of girly-girl artisan crafts is a bit like Sunday shopping at the world's coolest craft fair. Granted, you have to do some serious scoping before you find 'exactly' what you're looking for... but it's a fun place to watch for new and unique designers in all sorts of trades (invitations, jewelry design, favors, etc). Today I stumbled upon these outstanding handcrafted beaded bouquets by one of the 'shopkeeper's' whose store is called 'Bead Flora Jewel's.' Both bouquets are priced at $599. According to the designer Fen, the flowers are made in the 'French technique' with hundreds of hours going into each bouquet. They're custom-commissioned so you can order the exact colour combination you want. I think something like this is a great showpiece and will be a great sentimental keepsake for years to come.Weekend Getaway, Westin Bear Mountain

Victoria, BC The vast majority of Canadian weddings occur in the balmy and beautiful months of summer. If you're a bride with a summer 2008 wedding happening in July or August, chances are maybe you'll need a little 'getaway' to unwind before your big day. I have the perfect luxe retreat in mind for our BC readers and I'm going on a fact finding mission this weekend to scope it out for myself. ;) My hubby and I are taking a ferry over to Vancouver Island to visit the much talked about new Westin Bear Mountain Resort. It's a few minutes from Victoria and from the looks of the website I think we're going to have a wonderful experience. While I'm there, I will be taking a tour of the beautiful wedding facilities at the resort which I will report about on Wed when I'm back to my desk.Elizabeth & Justin

These two had a grand wedding at the Villa, with a profusion of bright flowers and a pretty blue sky. The day started out with Justin and Elizabeth seeing each other early and having a beautiful photo session out in the field of wildflowers. The ceremony featured several great musicians and also a ceremonial signing of an antique Bible. At the reception, Otis and the Metro Band got the party started with a bang. And after the cake cutting (in which Justin did a very cute version of "cake smashing") Brandon Rhyder, Justin's favorite singer/songwriter, took over the entertainment. Brandon was Elizabeth's surprise wedding gift to her new husband! The night ended with a spectacular fireworks display and a sparkly getaway.Elizabeth & Justin from Vanessa McKellar Productions.com on Vimeo.
Nikki & Matt… A Dash to the Altar!

Saturday morning saw me down at Salt Creek Beach bright and early for Nikki and Matt's "Dash to the Altar" 5K run. Matt has been a keen runner all his life and wanted to incorporate running into the wedding day and encourage all his friend and relatives that don't exercise regularly to come out and join them. I love it when clients build in personal touches to their wedding day...always gives us a unique perspective from which to film. They'd made T-shirts for everyone and handed out prizes and water bottles to the 50 or so people that showed up. The runners were fun to shoot and I particularly enjoyed watching the reactions of onlookers to the sight of 'WonderWoman' and 'Remote Control Man' jogging along the course. The race was tight but Matt took first place in a sprint for the finish!!Then we headed off to the Ritz-Carlton for a short break...thanks to Grandfather Stan for letting us commandeer his bedroom and turn it into 'Same Day Edit' Mission control. The rest of the day went off without hitch under the expert guidance of coordinator Jill Watson and Joel from Eckman Maus and I had fun exchanging competitive banter throughout the day as we grabbed a catalog of wonderful images. Check them out on his blog...I think they are fantastic!
Joe Thornton DJ'd and had the dance floor packed all night. Marcia Johnson made the room look beautiful with her floral talents. All in all a great day with a cool couple and a great team of professionals. Thanks to Nikki and Matt and their families for allowing us to be a part of it and making us feel so welcome!
Alex.

Floral Favors

Floral influence is blossoming EVERYWHERE right now (not to mention it's the theme of our latest issue 'Floral Fashionista'). Today I was archiving some images from our past-issues and I was reminded of the cute-as-a-button blooming company called BLOEMBOX. Specializing in... you guessed it... floral favors. Their adorable gift boxes are crowned with a single brilliant blossom (in EVERY kind of bloom). They're filled with biodegradable plantable tissue paper seed ribbon that will bloom into the matching style of flower. I love them and think they're PERFECT for guest favors.Brett & Steve’s Highlights

Wrightsville Beach, NC
Christian and Patti have been our biggest fans even before we filmed their wedding. It makes our job worth every ounce of blood, sweat and tears we put into our work when we have clients that appreciate our gift to them and become our friends in the process. You may remember their wedding trailer and out of the ordinary first dance. This wedding was truly a celebration. I feel like it was the first wedding we have ever been to where there were hundreds of people…a typical large wedding…yet everyone knew each other! There was such an awesome community of friends and family present. And we were honored to be in the midst of them. Thanks Christian and Patti for allowing us to get to know you and provide you with something we hope you’ll cherish for a long, long time. As always, everyone leave your comments!

In our premiere issue (back in 2006), we highlighted the bejewelled and bedazzled work from Toppers With Glitz in our 'fine online' column. This US-based company specializes in creating custom swarovski encrusted monograms and sparkly wedding day details. Recently, we asked Vancouver-based wedding planner Lori Fraser (Principal Event Planner of Lori. L. Fraser Signature Events) to coordinate some luxe details for one of our current features, Pink Lady Luxe. Lori commissioned some WedLuxe custom bling from Toppers with Glitz and the items we received were beautiful! I thought I'd share with you some of these photos (courtesy of Bebb Studios) which showcase some creative ways you can add some sparkle to just about anything at your reception. Shown here are table numbers, candy table monograms and napkin rings! BLING BLING!Save a Horse - A Blast from the past (2006)

It is always a privilege and an honor when clients contract our services for their wedding. But there is something extra special about being hired by co-suppliers. They, who know the landscape of the industry and practically know everybody else.
Last Friday, Katrina Arce Kuhn, owner and head chef of Cuillere Catering, tied the knot with Marco.

(photo nicked from MangoRed)
Like most supplier weddings we’ve shot, the chance to shine at their given field cannot be passed up. The guests were treated to a sumptuous seven course dinner apart from the cheese buffet.
The interesting twist was that after the formal dinner, a couple hundred more of the newlywed’s guests started to arrive to the party which was setup on the other half of Blue Leaf. DJ music and a midnight buffet on one side, a sit-down dinner and live band ballroom dancing at the other.
Oh, Thanks to Jong of the Write Impression Paperie and Press for sending me the menu card.
