Carmel and Padraig were married in Killarney and held their reception in the fabulous Aghadoe Heights. It was an absolute pleasure to work with this couple and I really enjoyed the company of all their friends and family. Here's a small peak at some of their wedding.Jennifer & David

The wedding day started off with rain but it turned out to be a beautiful day for Jennifer & David. Both the ceremony and reception took place at the Carriage House which is at Pine Knob Golf Course. Jennifer was such a relaxed and fun Bride, it was really easy to work with her. It was really cool when I received an email from Jennifer's maid of honor asking when the trailer will be up. It is a wonderfull feeling to know that people are really anxious to view my work. So here it is...the trailer.

Hey, we’re rounding up some of the recent work we’ve done for competition come August. Might I ask for a bit of your time for some suggestions.
Here are the links to the videos:
Shy and Martin

Minerva and Andrei
Charisse and John
Kristine and Willen
Honey and GJ
It’s really not a question of which is best but more of which is more appealing to judge’s taste.
Thanks!
Amita & Harshith’s Same Day Edit

Well first of all faithful blog readers… thanks for being so patient! Apparently our server quota was full which is why I couldn’t post any more videos last week. It’s up to 7 gb’s now… crazy! Anyway, now that I have more room, I wanted to post this amazing video. I (along w/Desiree & Jeremy) shot Amita & Harshith’s amazing wedding on Sunday. This was a spectacular event to say the least. I LOVE LOVE LOVE shooting Indian weddings because they are so full of tradition and the colors are spectaular! This couple was so cute and so much in love. They couldn’t wait to get married. They decided to have a Same Day Edit done to show right before their grand entrance on two big giant screens (provided by the fantastic D.J. Raj from Sound Nation) built into the decor which was done by Square Root Designs. The guests loved it. Same Day Edits are always a big hit! David Yusuf coordinated everything and put together Amita & Harshith’s dream wedding from start to finish. He and his team were so helpful and professional. The day ran so smoothly which was incredible considering that it was a 16 hour day w/many events and basically three meals! Joe Photo captured the entire day beautifully and is always a blast to work with. Be sure to check out his blog. I was quite emabarrased when he had to ride in my super messy car in order to capture the couple riding in their classic limo. Sorry Joe! I promise it will be clean next time!

Hey Folks!
Well I got back from my trip to Asia about 11 days ago and since then have been working hard to get these weddings out when I realized that it’s been a while since I updated the blog. So what better way to resume the blog than with some great news for those last minute brides…..
Due to some rescheduling on the part of my brides, I have two prime summer dates still available. The first one is June 9, 2007 and the other is July 7, 2007. That’s right! I’m open for the luckiest day of the century. So, if you are a bride getting married on one of those dates and you just now realized you need to get a video, there’s still time. Call me up and I’ll be glad to take care of you.

A Wedding in Ohio

Last Saturday I was in Ohio for the wedding of Amanda and Michael. Michael is such a laid back kind of guy. It was a riot seeing him cooking breakfast with all the Groomsmen in his pirate hat Saturday morning. The ceremony was at Olivet Lutheran Church and the reception was at Sylvania Country Club which was decorated with an Asian theme. As I was filming the table settings, I noticed that the table number cards and the seating chart were really nicely done. Come to find out later that they were designed by the well known Tifany from Gourmet Invtations. It was a 16 hour day for me to cover 5 different locations. I was really tired at the end of the day but being able to capture special moments for this nice couple made it all worth while. I would like to thank Ralph Cabildo for helping me out as 2nd camera man. He was fun, full of energy and great to work with. I also worked with a new photographer Roy Katalan.
Here is the trailer.

A Trailer…

We are so excited to be shooting the wedding of Arman & Sidney on June 23rd. They are so in love and have such a great story!! Arman is a total romantic and even proposed to Sidney dressed as a knight on a white horse. Their story began when they met at Starbucks. They wanted us to produce a trailer that represented their story but also gave their guests something to view to get them super excited for the event. So here it is. They even hired a professional voice-over guy which really put this over the top! It was so fun to edit and I can’t wait to edit their video!

Last Thursday, I wrapped up early and went down to Dingle for a bit of rock climbing. What a buzz! Five of us - under the supervision of Nathan Kingerlee from www.outdoorsireland.com - had a brilliant day on the cliffs around Dingle. Check out the video: Nathan is holding a free climbing promotion on May 12th at The Gap of Dunloe. Check his website for more info; I can't recommend it highly enough!Welcoming Megan and Carolyn

We’re happy to announce the addition of two new team members!
We welcome Megan Smith and Carolyn Clark.
Megan joins us fast on the heels of her graduation from Brock University. Megan will be handling everything and anything related to the administration and co-ordination side of the business, allowing Bruce and I to focus on what we do best: create! Over the years our business has grown quickly, but it has come at a cost to our productivity! Yes, it’s a ton of fun to have a multimedia business with a focus on weddings and creating a beautiful magazine BUT there are stacks (. . .and stacks) of admin and customer service-related jobs that require the same level of care and attention that our creative work does. Now, with Megan on the team. . . we can move forward with some long-standing goals (read: new projects) that we have cookin’ in the back of our minds. Megan will be a valued contributor to our editorial content for WedLuxe Magazine and she will also be assisting on shoots for both WedLuxe and Cloud Nine. She will be the primary point of contact for the extremely talented roster of photographers who so graciously entrust their weddings to us with each issue.
Carolyn joins us as our Sales & Distribution Manager for WedLuxe. As we slowly move from the west into the east, ensuring that we have top-quality advertisers and a growing, strong and diverse distribution list is certainly a full-time job. Carolyn’s unique combination of sales experience coupled with a strong fashion background made her a perfect candidate for this position. She will be the primary point of contact for our valued advertisers as well as our roster of participating venues and distribution points. In addition, Carolyn will be assisting with editorial content for WedLuxe.
Outside of all that formality - both Megan and Carolyn were hired because they’re great people and Bruce and I feel comfortable with them both. They will be a blast to have around, and our clients and suppliers will enjoy getting to know each of them.
Both Megan and Carolyn start on Monday, May 14. Please join us in welcoming them to Cloud Nine. ![]()

New address!

Our studio move is finally behind us! Of course with ‘perfect’ timing (note the sarcasm) our office move came during the same week as our Spring/Summer WedLuxe press schedule. Very fun! Hah Hah
While I was in Alberta, Bruce was coordinating the move here in BC. Normally we are side by side to help each other out, but this weekend we were each flyin’ solo. However, both jobs got done and what a relief to have both behind us! The new space feels like it was meant to be. It’s centrally located and a much quicker commute for us… shaving 30 minutes off the morning (and midnight) drives.
The best part - we have lots of space for the two newest members of the team. On Monday, we will enjoy welcoming Megan Smith and Carolyn Clark to the team! *I’ll do a separate entry for details on their arrival!)
Our new address is
209-3823 Henning Drive
Burnaby BC V5C 6P3
All email and tel no’s remain the same.
Looking forward to an office warming party sometime in the nr future.

Alright. I can’t stand it any longer. I simply MUST do an entry about our incredible follow-up, second edition. Available in just about two weeks, our Spring/Summer issue is now printed! I have just finished the press check for all of the pages… it’s a beauty. Admittedly I didn’t get a ton of sleep this week (about 2 hours a night) but the final result was worth it.
Here’s a sneak peek of just SOME of what’s inside…
